Our properties
Come for the sweeping bays, wild landscapes and big skies, and retreat to your Emble home.
Our properties are thoughtfully decorated to feel homely and fun, with artful details, furniture and antiques that we’ve curated over time.
The Blue House
4 bedrooms | Sleeps 4-8
The Blue House sits on on our working farm steading at North Sunderland, near Seahouses accommodating families and groups of up to 8 people.
Recently renovated, layered with colour, patina, and long-held family belongings, the Blue House (or, depending on where you’re from, the ‘Bloo-Hoos’) was the local fishermen’s name for the farmhouse. So-called because of its blue slate roof, visible to them from afar and its distinguishing feature in the landscape.
Calder Cottage
1 bedroom | Sleeps 2
Calder’s meadow garden rolls seamlessly into ancient Emble pasture and on to the dunes of Embleton Bay. Enjoy sweeping views from the cottage and glazed Reading Room in the garden. Perfectly sized for two people with a king-sized double bedroom and cosy, sea facing living room with dining nook and log burner.
Turner Cottage
1 bedroom | Sleeps 2
Turner neighbours Calder at the edge of Embleton village and is the most recent renovation in the Emble stable. Carefully stripped and finished to a high, modern standard whilst retaining its traditional cottage charm with plenty of original detail and reclaimed materials.
